FUTURE CITY

Future City, also known as Hyderabad’s Fourth City, is an ambitious, futuristic smart-city initiative by the Telangana government. It’s envisioned to be India’s first net-zero, eco-friendly urban metropolis—rivaling global cities like New York, London, Tokyo, and Seoul

  • Southern Corridor Location: Situated strategically between the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar Highways, particularly near Mucherla in Ranga Reddy district 

  • Connectivity:

    • ~30 minutes from Shamshabad International Airport,
    • Linked to Outer Ring Road (ORR) and future Regional Ring Road (RRR),
    • Planned Ratan Tata Road, a 330-ft wide expressway (~41 km) connecting Future City with ORR and RRR
  •  Future Metro Rail extension and a 39.6 km greenfield metro corridor from the airport are in the works

  • FCDA leading planning and execution, with a 50-year master-plan including 15,000 acres of preserved forest
